My Healthy Food Inquiry Poster

I am doing my Inquiry work . The reason I picked this photo was because I see lots of people drinking to much coke on streets  and that gave me the idea to a poster about telling to stop over drinking coke.  Next time I will include information to explain why you should keep away from to much coke.

Quest 4: Healthy Lunchbox. Research and calculate.

The total cost of the lunchbox is $23.25.

Reflection:  This is too expensive, so I would have to rethink the contents.  The thing that was tricky was cutting out the shapes.  It was fun to do. Next time I will work out the unit price for the Le Snack, which will be $4.35 divided by 6 which is 72c each.  It would change my total price to $23.25 - (72 x 5) which is $19.65.

Quest 12: Compare and contrast

This is my dinner at home a quarter  of the plate has veggies and the 

rest has meat and spaghetti .    If I compare this with an 'ideal plate' it is pretty close.  Maybe I could make the veggies a bit more, and the pasta a slightly smaller portion.  But, I'm a dancer, so I need more energy from the pasta.

I found this task on Mathletics really easy. My next step is to try something harder.

Swimming Team - Term 1

I was the only boy from Room 21 who took part in the Swimming Zones.  It has been the most favourite part of my year so far.

Multiplying and Dividing

I am learning to multiply and divide by 10, 100 and 1000’s.

I am so proud because I never used to know how to divide by 1000.

It can be tricky to explain the rule of dividing by 10, 100 and 1000.

My buddy can help me by checking my work for mistakes.

The next step for me in my learning is to do this with bigger numbers.
